Prosthetic Hand Project
Welcome to the page about the prosthetic hand project. This was one of the society's first ever projects, beginning in 2016.
CU3D's then biggest project aimed to design a flexible 3D printed passive prosthetic hand. We collaborated with openbionics, a market leading company, that has developed the robotic Ada hand.
The entire project is open source, meaning that the work we do Is available to the public for free to use and develop further. Our aim is to create an affordable prosthesis option for developing countries, that is far more durable than anything currently available.
